Returning astronauts While Flying Blind.

Three astronauts Russia and the United States (U.S. ) successfully completed their mission on the International Space Station ( ISS ) . Last Wednesday ( 11/9 ) and Alexander Misurkin Pavel Vinogradov and U.S. astronaut Chris Cassidy , landed safely in Kazakhstan, but there turned out to be the story of "sinister" behind it all.
Vinogradov and two colleagues should be grateful for a smooth landing of the Soyuz rocket on Wednesday that they were riding , because during the journey to Earth , the three astronauts had no guide at all . Height sensor is supposed to be a reference on their way home damaged .
They also made a "flying blind " . Since leaving the ISS , the three astronauts will rely on instinct when driving a rocket .
" We had a little problem . Know what causes it, after leaving the ISS , all our travel guide disappeared . Could be said , on the way to the earth we are like the blind, " said the 60 -year-old cosmonaut in a press conference yesterday (13/9) .
Lucky they can still listen to the guide from the control center of the earth related to the trip .
" We were forced to rely on guidance from the earth about the position of our rockets . Especially regarding height , " said the senior astronaut during a visit to the Star City cosmonaut training center .
Information regarding the earth 's distance from the rocket , according to him is very important , because at a certain distance they must press the button for a new rocket engines ignite .
After the engine starts , the rate of rocket with three crew it becomes more slowly .
" The team on the ground contacted us when the rocket is at a height of 300 meters. Then they contacted us again when a rocket is 100 meters from the ground," said Vinogradov. Upon entering the Earth's atmosphere , releasing a parachute rocket was successful and we finally landed in a vertical position .
" We count down from eight after the parachute came off and after a few ends , our rockets hit the ground. We were lucky to land smoothly, " said Vinogradov .
Upon landing , he and his two companions immediately undergo a medical examination , appropriate procedures .
The perfect landing mission of 166 days to close the three astronauts successfully.
