What Happens in Your Body When Napping.


In between exhausting activity , nothing is more effective than a nap to restore energy . Although briefly , naps can improve performance and concentration as well as returns . Then , what exactly happens when we fall asleep ?
Daytime sleepiness in fact triggered by drowsiness -causing chemical called adenosine , which is formed in the body throughout the day . If at night before we sleep deprivation , high levels of adenosine can cause us to become tired and sleepy during the day .
As with any sleep at night , nap time also happened repair body cells . However , most do not reach the phase of sleep during deep sleep , unless you 're feeling very tired could you experience REM ( rapid eye movement ) or phase we dream , at noon .
However, the REM phase too quickly could cause us to wake up feeling dizzy before entering REM sleep we actually need in a long time .
So , what are the processes that occur in the body when we take a nap ?

The first 5 minutes :

The brain becomes unconscious , but our senses are still active . Because it sounds harsh or a pat on the skin will instantly make us wake up . Then after the blood pressure and heart rate decreased , our eyes will appear to stop moving in the eyelid during sleep time .

20 minutes later :

Adenosine accumulation of hormones in the body is broken down . At the same time , the adrenal glands to prepare the hormone cortisol which will make us more focused and alert while awake . While the immune system is weakened due to renew her exhausted body back to normal .

5 minutes:

Sound alarm installed will make the brain release a chemical that deadly sleep center in the brain . Brain cells that have been rested are now becoming more active and alert .
